Field Trips for All Ages

Students have enjoyed field trips to Stonehurst for well over 100 years. In the late 19th century, the one-time owner of Stonehurst, philanthropist Robert Treat Paine opened his country estate to Roxbury youth who had few opportunities for excursions outside of the city. Today, this now publicly-owned property offers field trips to students of all ages. 

We offer customized tours on topics ranging from art & architecture and the Industrial Revolution to social justice and the American identity. 

We can accommodate individual classes of up to 30 students.
