On historical TV shows, you’ll see people being disemboweled, tortured and decapitated, but you won’t see anything about menstruation, chamber pots, birth control, breastfeeding or poopy babies. It’s 2019!
Velya Jancz-Urban’s enthusiastic delivery about these engrossing “taboo” subjects is funny and frank. In the dramatic turn-of-the century Great Hall of Stonehurst, laugh, grimace, and honor our foremother’s journeys while learning about the little-known issues faced by women of America’s Gilded Age.
Doors open at 7:00PM. Talk begins at 7:30PM.
Tickets $20 in advance. $25 at the door. Sales will begin in late February.
Sales benefit the Friends of Stonehurst and Friends of the Waltham Public Library. Thank you for your support!
