Here's your opportunity to work on a landscape designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, father of America's public parks! Unearth a lost entrance to the carriage road leading from the servant wing at Stonehurst to the gardener's cottage. Reestablish connections between houses and fields, and expose a century-old rhododendron dell.
Meet at the main entrance at 9 am.
Please wear sunscreen, bug spray, long pants, socks, and closed shoes, and bring your gloves and loppers!
Will reschedule in the event of rain.
Cosponsored by the City of Waltham, Waltham Land Trust and Friends of Stonehurst.
