Take a Story Walk in the woods surrounding Stonehurst with your children following the colorful pages of Mowgli's Rainy Day, a Disney story inspired by The Jungle Book. The Waltham Public Library created this fun family walk for their new community-wide Watch! Read! Listen! initiative to encourage Waltham to experience a story together all summer long.

Enjoy the story about a boy raised by wolves in the Indian jungle, while experiencing the wilds of Waltham with your family. From the parking lot, walk to the gated entrance to the woods on the circular drive and follow the story along the Bull Run Trail leading to the Waltham High School. (See map)

Visit the Waltham Public Library all summer long for free events for all ages inspired by Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book story. They'll have book discussions, sing-alongs, crafts, guest speakers, a puppet show, and live jungle animals. The Library's Watch! Read! Listen! program also extends to other sites throughout the City like Stonehurst.
